Director of Marketing

WSRB and BuildingMetrix are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, passionate and tech savvy Director of Marketing. Reporting to our Chief Innovation Officer, you are a key member of the team helping to shape the future of the organization. You have leadership responsibility for all facets of brand marketing, public relations, content, and event marketing. You are experienced with demand generation strategies to drive growth and engagement for our existing and new products and services. Your marketing approach is customer-centric focused on inbound strategies that lead not only to growth but also strong customer retention. You exemplify the perfect balance of creativity, analytical and hands-on with a strong bias to action, and have the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, loosely structured, highly dynamic environment

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the leadership team and sales, build and enhance recognition of WSRB’s and BuildingMetrix’s brands
  •  Work with internal stakeholders to plan, create, and launch compelling stories and creative campaigns around product announcements and initiatives that resonate with buyer audiences
  • Define, implement, and manage marketing strategy for optimal performance and revenue growth
  • Craft messaging and positioning in the market; conduct market and competitive analysis to determine and highlight WSRB’s and BuildingMetrix’s key differentiators
  • Working with our public relations company to develop, and leverage relationships with industry media to evangelize our brands and products in the market
  • Create strategy and establish goals for meeting marketing deliverables and metrics
  • Create annual and quarterly metrics-driven, and goal-oriented marketing plans to include thought leadership initiatives and demand generation programs for lead creation, lead nurturing, and customer marketing with clear objectives and outcomes defined. You will need to be an effective leader and ensure marketing programs are successful
  • Utilize a portfolio of marketing strategies to develop, test, launch, and measure programs: account-based marketing programs, emails, events, webinars, website maintenance, social media, and content creation
  • Develop the strategies, processes, and content required to execute best-in-class campaigns and programs which result in substantial pipeline growth
  • Possess a long-term view for growth strategies with emphasis on agile execution, and iteration
  • Define and deeply understand target markets and customers. Part of a team responsible for market and customer insights, analytics, and recommendations to inform the development and delivery of new and enhanced products
  • Lead internal communications in support of our core values, mission and vision
  • Lead a high performing Marketing team that is customer-focused, collaborative, innovative, and skilled. Support team development by providing fair and objective performance reviews, continual feedback, mentoring and career growth
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Customer-focused with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Leadership experience in marketing and driving brand awareness
  • Experience in building strategic thought leadership plans to support executive leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent, relevant professional experience
  • Ability to lead, develop and mentor a high-performing team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation technology, bonus points for HubSpot usage
  • Ability to be the executive producer of events, as well as leader of the events team
  •  3+ years of experience leading a B2B marketing team with a track record of success , insurance experiences a plus
  • Demonstrated aptitude for innovation and problem solving
