Marketing and Design Specialist

Purpose:

Create and execute marketing programs to acquire, retain and engage customers and support the business development functions of the organization.  

 In this role, you will maintain and grow the company brands, evaluate and improve the customers’ online experience, and lead all projects pertaining to design. This is a remote position, so you will work from home with monthly in-person team meetings and with an option to use our office space when needed. This role comes with opportunities for professional growth, so we are looking for an experienced marketer with a love of learning who wants to expand their skill set and continue to add more value to the team.  

Essential Functions:

  • Produce and drive marketing elements including website design and content, email, presentations, and collateral creation  
  • Develop and execute webinar and video content  
  • Create email marketing campaigns  
  • Execute email testing to optimize conversion, retention and growth  
  • Create and execute search engine marketing (PPC) and paid social campaigns 
  • Execute internal and external communications plan  
  • Support event marketing programs  
  • Create niche/custom marketing pieces for B2B consumption  
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, aligned to personas, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels  
  • Create compelling content that works across a wide variety of channels, and can optimize and repurpose content to drive efficiency and improve performance  
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to plan and optimize marketing programs  
  • Analyze results, providing direction to evolve and optimize marketing campaigns to improve effectiveness and determine future investments based on insights  
  • Complies with departmental and WSRB policies and procedures 
  • Other projects and duties as assigned 

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Design, Marketing, Communications or Business or a combination of the equivalent education and/or experience  
  • 3+ years of professional marketing and design experience 
  • Project management experience 
  • Portfolio and/or website examples required   
  • Basic HTML and CSS skills  
  • Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and demand generation principles  
  • Experience in search engine marketing (PPC) and paid social campaigns 
  • High attention to detail  
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Able to work with ambiguity and not afraid to ask questions  
  • Creative problem solver  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects 

Apps and Technology: 

  • Microsoft Office 365 knowledge, especially PowerPoint  
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency 
  • HubSpot design experience and familiarity with HubL Syntax. Any HS certifications in design, SEO or inbound methodology are a bonus 
  • Extra credit for UX design experience or desire to learn 

Internal / External Contacts: 

Daily contact with the Sales/Marketing department, as well as other internal department personnel and management at WSRB. Contact with customers, insurance personnel and/or vendors.
