Commercial Property Analyst I - Snohomish/NE King County

Purpose:  

WSRB has an exciting opportunity in our Inspection Services department. This role performs physical inspections and gathers information on the property and casualty risks of commercial buildings and businesses. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Inspect, evaluate and analyze the construction, occupancy, fire protection features, and exposures of property to provide loss costs and reports
  • Observe and evaluate automatic fire sprinkler systems and other fire protection systems in order to provide insurance rating credit and report on key features of the system
  • Complete inspection assignments in a timely manner to reach set goals and deadlines for completed work
  • Daily travel is required with overnight travel on occasion

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Complies with departmental and WSRB policies and procedures
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
  • No supervisory responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience: 

  • Building code, building construction, and/or property insurance knowledge is desirable
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with a tablet
  • Customer-focused with the ability to remain professional and courteous at all times
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organized yet flexible/adaptable
  • Valid driver’s license and insured motor vehicle
  • Ability to work independently

Internal/External Contacts: 

Daily contact with insurance agents and underwriters, homeowners, county assessors, and vendors. Weekly contact with internal department personnel at WSRB, and all levels of management at WSRB.
 

Working Conditions: 

  • Typical office working conditions
  • Ability to use computer mouse and keyboard
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Repetitive use of hands required
  • Ability to travel to the Seattle area several times per year

Salary Range: $55,095 - $88,155
