Welcome to www.wsrb.com (the “Website”). The Website is owned and operated by the Washington Surveying and Rating Bureau, Inc. (“WSRB”, “we”, or “us”). We take the protection and security of the information provided to us by visitors to the Website (“you”) very seriously. The privacy and security of your information is important to us.
We collect personally identifiable and non-personal information in the following situations:
When you register or subscribe with us, we ask for your name, email address, physical address, phone number, type of business, business name, job role, and other information required to verify you are authorized to use the site (your “Account Information”). Once you register with us and log in to our Services, you are not anonymous to us and we store all activity on your account in conjunction with your username and Account Information.
We use this information to setup your account and provide the Services you request.
When you request forms, reports, surveys, maps, data, property information, or other resources available through the Services, we collect information necessary to fulfill your request, such as the property address or other location information. A record of all of your orders placed through the Services is stored with your Account Information.
Once the report or data has been generated, we do not store the property address or location information for the subject property.
We collect any information you voluntarily provide, such as when you contact us with a question or inquiry. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, fulfill your request, or send you email communications.
If you interact with any of our social media accounts, we may collect information regarding that interaction, such as your account username and the contents of your post or communication, in order to respond to you or address your concern.
We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, geographic location, browser type, duration of visit to the Website, cookie information, and the page(s) you requested.
We use information for four general purposes: (1) to customize the content you see; (2) to fulfill your requests for certain products and services; (3) to ensure accurate billing; (4) to notify you about new products or services; and (5) to contact you when appropriate.
We do not sell your personally identifiable information for any reason.
Your use of the Service is entirely at the discretion of you and/or your employer. We will not provide any information about your use of this Service to any other entity, except in response to a request from your employer, subpoenas, court orders or legal process, or as set forth below.
We may share your contact information with other organizations with which we have a business relationship. These affiliated organizations may use this information to contact you from time to time regarding the products and services they offer. If you want to prevent an affiliate from contacting you, you may do so by using the "opt-out" methods provided by the affiliate.
We also share the property address for which you request a report with third-party providers, such as a mapping software provider or property inspector, in order to fulfill your request.
We may provide the names of insurance company users of our Services to applicable insurance regulatory organizations. However, we do not provide any personally identifiable information to such organizations.
We may set and access cookies on your computer. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser for record–keeping purposes. Some cookies allow us to make it easier for you to navigate our Website, while others are used to enable a faster log–in process or to allow us to track your activities at our Website. Our cookies generally do not contain personal information. Any personally identifiable information contained in a cookie is a result of your input of information on the Website, such as when you enter your username and password in the login form. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies; however, some browsers allow cookies to be disabled. Check the settings for your particular browser if you wish to disable cookies.
Certain web browsers feature a “Do Not Track” option which sends a signal to the website not to track the user’s activity. Because there is not a universal understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, our Website does not recognize or respond to such “Do Not Track” requests from Internet browsers or mobile devices.
We give you the ability to access and edit your Account Information and preferences. You may edit your personally identifiable information at any time by logging into your account. If you are unable to change your Account Information by logging in, complete the help request at help.wsrb.com/kb-tickets/new.
You (or your employer) may request correction to or deletion of your account by completing the help request at help.wsrb.com/kb-tickets/new. Upon termination of your account, we will delete any personally identifiable information we are not obligated to keep for record-keeping purposes or to comply with applicable law.
You can opt-out of receiving certain emails from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link contained in the email. Please note, however, that you may not be able to opt-out of some communications, including important announcements, notices, or service-related communications.
We take the security of your personally identifiable information very seriously. We maintain industry standard physical, electronic, technical, administrative, and procedural safeguards to protect your personally identifiable information. Your Account Information is password-protected for privacy and security. In certain areas we use industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions.
You need to know, however, that due to the open communicative nature of the Internet, no transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee that the transmission of any personally identifiable information between WSRB and you, or between you and WSRB, will be free from unauthorized access by third parties. You transmit information to us at your own risk.
This Website is operated from our facility within the United States of America (USA) but may be accessed from anywhere in the world. Personally identifiable information collected on this Website may be stored, transferred to, and processed in the United States or any other country in which WSRB or our service providers maintain facilities. By using this Website, you consent to any such transfer or storage of your information outside of your country of residence.
We make no representation and take no responsibility for any applicable laws and regulations of other countries. If you are located outside the USA, data security laws in the USA may not offer as much protection as the laws in your country of residence. By providing any personally identifiable information to WSRB, you consent to the transfer of your information to, and the storage of your information on, servers located in the USA. Persons who choose to access the Website from locations outside the USA do so at their own risk.
Under California Law, California residents have the right to request in writing from a business: (a) a list of the categories of personal information, such as name, address, e–mail address, and the type of services provided to the customer, that a business has disclosed to third parties during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties' direct marketing purposes, and (b) the names and addresses of all such third parties. To request the above information, please send a written request to the contact information below. We will respond to such written requests within thirty (30) days following receipt. Please note that we are only required to respond to each customer once per calendar year.
