As the coronavirus outbreak continues to evolve, we want to take a few moments to update you on our response. First, though, we want to express our sincere gratitude to healthcare workers, first responders (including, of course, fire service professionals) and everyone else working to keep our communities safe and healthy. In this time of rapid change, we want assure you that you can continue to access WSRB data, information and services as you normally do. Our entire team is working remotely, executing on a business continuity plan we developed for unexpected situations like this one, and allowing us to do all we can to keep ourselves healthy.

We have adjusted our processes for protection class evaluations and commercial property inspections to comply with Washington state’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy order.
For protection class evaluations, we are working directly with each fire protection district and each community's officials to determine the best way to get the information we need. We are still conducting some in-person visits, but we're primarily using video and phone conferencing for meetings.
We are conducting those commercial property inspections where we can effectively gather information from looking at the exterior of the building and asking the insured a small number of questions. As a result, we are not currently inspecting manufacturing operations, restaurants, nursing homes or buildings with automatic fire sprinkler systems. Once Washington moves to the next phase of the re-opening, we expect to resume inspections that involve visits to the interior of a building. If an insured does not want our analyst to enter the building, we will wait to conduct the inspection.
